Question 1

What is hydroponic terrace farming?

Accepted Answer

Hydroponic terrace farming grows vegetables on your rooftop without soil, using nutrient-rich water instead. Plants sit in channels or net pots, the nutrient solution circulates to their roots, and the whole system uses around 90% less water than soil farming. It suits Indian terraces well because it is lightweight, clean and does not need a garden.

Question 2

How much does a hydroponic terrace farm cost in Sonipat?

Accepted Answer

The cost depends on the size of your terrace and the system used — a small balcony setup and a full rooftop farm are very different projects. RiseUp Hydroponics & Organics surveys your site first and shares clear, itemised costs before anything is built. Call or WhatsApp 086977 30513 for an estimate for your space.

Question 3

Is hydroponically grown produce really pesticide-free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Hydroponic systems are clean and controlled, so pest pressure is minimal and can be handled with biological controls rather than chemical sprays. Because you harvest at home, you know exactly what went into the food you eat.

Question 4

What vegetables can I grow on a hydroponic terrace farm?

Accepted Answer

Lettuce, spinach, kale, basil, mint, coriander, Swiss chard, bok choy and cherry tomatoes all grow well in Sonipat and Delhi NCR conditions. We plant your first crop with seedlings from our own nursery at RiseUp Hydroponics and give you a simple nutrient schedule to follow.

Question 5

Do you maintain the system after installation?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Maintenance is a core part of what we do — nutrient dosing, crop scheduling, system upkeep and replacement seedlings from our nursery, so your terrace farm keeps producing without becoming a chore.

Question 6

Do you set up hydroponic labs for schools?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We design and install working hydroponic labs for schools and colleges as a living classroom for science, sustainability and food literacy, and we train the staff who run them. We also run CBSE Kaushal Bodh school programs at our farm — see our schools page for the full list.

Question 7

Which areas do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We serve Sonipat, Murthal, Kundli, Panipat, Rai, Gannaur, North Delhi and the wider Delhi NCR from our farm on NH 44 in Murthal. Our office is at Sector 19, Sonipat. If you are within reach of Sonipat, we can survey your terrace and quote for it.

Question 8

Can I visit the farm before deciding?

Accepted Answer

Please do. RiseUp Hydroponics & Organics farm is on NH 44 in Murthal, next to Park Blue Hotel, and we are open 24 hours. Seeing working systems in person is the fastest way to understand what suits your space.
